After taking Kat down, I cuddled her a while as Chris watched. He’d joined in for all of a minute before stepping back. The man needed to get more up close and personal with her at times other than kink and sex unless he only wanted to be her jailer. I’d have a talk with him later.

The rain was no more than a fine drizzle. The storm clouds had passed to the west.

I attempted carrying Kat back through the forest, but my arm gave out. The cut wouldn’t need much more than a bandage for a few days, but my left arm always had suffered from weakness now and then. Whacking it with a glass hadn’t helped. I set her on her feet, the bikini bottoms I’d retrieved from her mouth were balled in my hand. I could’ve given them back, tied up the bows at the side…but, no.

She eyed me warily, not speaking. I guess us dominating the shit out of her had shut her down for once.

I cleared my throat. “You left your mark.”

“Yes. Like it?” He smiled as he too assessed her. “I do.”

“Fuck, man, you’re corrupting me.” The rain had made his blond hair darker, though the shortness meant it stood up like some kid’s anime character. “You still look evil, even when wet. How do you do that?”

He shrugged. “Practice. Want to make her walk faster? Here. I don’t think I can conceive of punishing her enough today. You hear that Kat? Today was like a fucking milestone in badness. If you wanted me angry, you got it. If you wanted me ever more determined to break you, you got that too.”

Though she couldn’t have missed hearing that, she kept her head down and said nothing, did nothing except stare at the ground, as if she wanted it dead.

He handed me the whippy branch he’d used earlier to make those scratches. I swished it, stared at her. Then I whacked it across her butt and smiled when she jumped and uttered a curse.

“Take care, Kat. No swearing. Move.” I switched her again. She glared but turned and started walking.

Wow. I glanced at the stick. Power. And in something so small.

“Don’t get too wrapped up in causing her pain,” Chris said as he passed me. “That’s my job.”

“The fuck it is.
